Accessibility Statement
Last reviewed: September 15, 2026
Russ Physical Therapy is committed to making russpt.com usable by everyone, including people who use assistive technology such as a screen reader, rely on the keyboard instead of a mouse, or need larger text, higher contrast, or reduced motion. Accessibility is part of how we build and maintain this site, not an afterthought.
Conformance Target
We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA, the standard referenced in the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services Section 504 rule and widely used as the benchmark in ADA Title III web accessibility matters. WCAG 2.1 AA is a target we work toward continuously, not a one-time checkbox, and this statement describes where we currently stand.
Measures We've Taken
Site-wide, we have worked to provide: a "Skip to main content" link on every page; proper landmark structure (header, main content, and footer regions); a logical heading order on every page; visible keyboard focus indicators on every interactive element; labels that are programmatically tied to their form fields, with errors announced to assistive technology; a mobile menu that closes on Escape, traps focus while open, and returns focus to the menu button on close; descriptive alternative text on meaningful images, and empty alternative text on purely decorative ones; support for reduced-motion preferences, with every scroll animation and page-load effect designed to land content in its final, readable state immediately when a visitor's system requests less motion; and a page that remains readable and its booking form still submittable if JavaScript fails to load or is turned off.
We test with the axe accessibility engine and with manual keyboard-only navigation, and we review new pages against this same standard before they are published.
Ongoing Review
Accessibility is not a one-time project for us. We periodically re-test the site, and we correct issues as we find them or as they're reported to us. This statement is updated whenever we complete a significant round of review.
Known Limitations
No website is perfectly accessible to every person and every assistive technology, and we want to be upfront about where we currently fall short:
Embedded, third-party content. The Google Maps location embeds and the Elfsight-powered Google reviews widget on this site are built and hosted by outside companies. We have confirmed the map embeds carry a descriptive title, but we do not control the internal accessibility of either embed's own interface and cannot guarantee it meets the same standard as the rest of this site.
Downloadable patient forms. The new-patient paperwork packet on our Patient Forms page is a PDF and is not currently structured for screen readers (it is not "tagged," and has limited selectable text). If you use a screen reader or other assistive technology and need these forms in an accessible format, contact us using the information below and we will arrange to complete your paperwork with you by phone, in person, or in another format that works for you at no extra step for your visit.
Feedback
If you encounter an accessibility barrier anywhere on this site, please tell us. We want to know about it and we want to fix it.
Email russpt@russpt.com or call (479) 250-4014. Please include the web address (URL) of the page and, if you can, a short description of the problem and the browser or assistive technology you were using. We aim to respond to accessibility feedback within 5 business days.
You can also reach either clinic in person: 1002 SW Westpark Dr #6, Bentonville, AR 72712, or 2070 McKenzie St. Ste. A, Springdale, AR 72762. Both clinics are open Monday through Thursday from 8:00am to 5:30pm and Friday from 8:00am to 1:30pm.
