Ray Hayes

PT, MHA

Physical Therapist

I grew up in South Arkansas in the Pine Bluff area and went to undergraduate and physical therapy school at the University of Central Arkansas. Most of my professional career was concentrated in the Little Rock area until recently. My wife Kathryn and I moved to Northwest Arkansas a year and a half ago, and we love it here!

I have worked as a physical therapist and in management of orthopedic therapy centers for over 30 years. It gives me great satisfaction and joy in working with patients to help them reach their goals and developing a relationship with them in the process.

What do you do for the company:

As a physical therapist, I treat patients with a variety of issues ranging from orthopedic, neurological, balance/vestibular and general deconditioning that affects their quality of life. My goal is to give them the best care that I can by finding the cause of their problems and developing a program to address these issues. I enjoy learning and continually developing my skills in order to provide the best care possible.

Something patients have to deal with that you want to fix:

Educating patients on issues that affect not only their current condition but also educating them to be proactive in taking control of their health for the prevention of future problems.

Conditions You Enjoy Treating:

I enjoy treating a variety of conditions but especially orthopedic and balance/vestibular.

What do you like about working here:

I love the atmosphere of respect, teamwork, and a feeling that we are here to serve our patients. We have fun at the clinic and try to make it a place where patients enjoy coming while they are receiving therapy.

What do you enjoy doing when you are not working:

I enjoy playing the guitar, hunting, fishing, golf and spending time with my wife and our family.

“Ray gave me a very thorough evaluation and explained what he found in detail. I was also given printed-out instructions on what to do at home before my next visit. I highly recommend Russ Physical Therapy.”

“I was having extreme pain in my hip and upper leg that prevented me from sitting for longer than 5 minutes. Ray was able to help with easy exercises and within 1 week the pain had subsided and I was able to sit and work for 1 hour before getting up and taking a break. Thank you, Ray!”

“You have a wonderful, experienced staff who are very friendly, knowledgeable, and caring. Ray, Emily, and Thomas are very good at what they do. They know just what to do to get you pain-free and movable again.”
